Has not been used in an offensive way in ages as the base DoT damage is way too low. The support Gem: Used in most support builds for the awesome party benefits. ToxinGem of Efficacious Best Use The rank 25 secondary bonus is the reason this Gem is played in every Support build in the game: All enemies you poison take 10% additive increased damage from all sources (including your party members) and also deal 10% less damage. Every upgrade will increase the Poison damage by another 50% weapon damage up to a maximum of 9,500% total. You can level this Gem all the way up to rank 150. This Gem applies a Poison Damage over Time effect for 2000% weapon damage over 10 seconds onto enemies when attacking them. All enemies you poison take 10% increased damage from all sources.Upgrade rank grants: +20% weapon damage over 10 seconds.Poison all enemies hit for 1000% weapon damage over 10 seconds.The Witch Doctor and Necromancer are the only classes that may be able to improve this gem with elemental damage skill boosts since it utilises Poison damage. The damage boost is considerably less than it would be since this gem does not benefit from Creeping Death and Quetzalcoatl. DoT effects won’t thus renew the poisoning.Īlso take notice that although the Raiment of the Jade Harvester Set bonus does not apply the new poisoning, it does deplete the Gem of Efficacious Toxin effect. The poison will be applied by the player character or any harmful attacks performed by their pets.

Additionally, enemies that are afflicted take less damage from all attacks, even stacking strikes from several players. The penalty does accumulate across different players (see example video). This gem is beneficial to classes who concentrate on elements other than Poison since at level 25, it also boosts all damage that the poisoned victim suffers from all sources (including other players). Upgrades result in more damage being done overall (and the damage per second).

Further assaults renew this effect, but it does not stack. This gem renders any opponent that is assaulted poisonous over time, regardless of the attack’s, skill’s, or spell’s Proc Coefficient.
